∞ From AI student to developer at Telenor in autumn 2026 ∞

Loop Academy is offering you a career path developed together with Telenor. Steffen had a master’s degree in artificial intelligence when he started at Loop Academy. Today he works as a developer at Telenor through Loop Academy. Now we are looking for more developers with an AI background who want to take the same path.
You are permanently employed by Loop Academy from day one. The programme is designed to give you a fast transition from studies to professional development in one of Norway’s largest technology environments. You start with a three-month intensive learning programme at Loop Academy in Oslo, developed with Telenor, and then work in a development team at Telenor for twelve months. The goal is that you move on to a permanent position at Telenor after the assignment.
Steffen came to us with a master’s degree in technology specialising in AI. He had experience with Python, C++, C# and SQL, among others, and had worked on projects in generative AI, machine learning, NLP and computer vision. He had a strong technical background, but was new to working life.
Through Loop Academy he gained experience with modern development methods, teamwork and projects that mirrored the assignment at Telenor.
At Telenor, Steffen works on managing and processing customer data, developing APIs in Java and Kotlin with Spring Boot, and exploring how AI can make developers more effective, including through agentic development and context engineering.

A background in artificial intelligence and machine learning gives a good understanding of how modern systems work. Combined with strong programming skills, it makes it easier to adopt new development tools and work effectively in large codebases. Development is increasingly about understanding systems, making technical decisions and using tools well.
As a developer at Telenor you become part of Norway’s digital infrastructure. The teams build solutions used by millions of customers every day, from customer solutions and My Pages to internal systems that ensure stable operations, secure communication and data protection.
When the network works, nobody notices. When it stops, much of society stops too. That is why the systems are built to high standards of quality, stability and security. You work in cross-functional development teams with experienced developers, designers and product owners.
The programme starts with three months of on-site academy in Oslo. Here you work with technologies and methods used at Telenor, including Java and Kotlin, Spring Boot, TypeScript, Vue, programming practice and code quality. A typical week consists of sessions led by Dr. Dean, team project work and presentations of the solutions you build.
The programme ends with a case project developed together with Telenor. You then move on to a 12-month assignment at Telenor, working in a development team.
Start date 10 August 2026 at Loop and 2 November at Telenor. Permanent employment at Loop Academy, a three-month academy programme in central Oslo (Rebel) and a twelve-month consulting assignment at Telenor in Fornebu. Salary both during and after the training period, Mac/PC and up to three certifications of your choice. The goal is permanent employment at Telenor after the assignment, with the security of Loop Academy along the way.
You don’t need the same education as Steffen, but you need the same drive. We think you are completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or technology specialising in AI by summer or autumn 2026, have strong academic results, learn fast, enjoy solving problems and thrive in a team.

Loop Academy combines on-site teaching in small classes, personal follow-up, a case project developed together with the client and a social community with events and alumni.
