Recent graduate developer? Follow the same path as Teresa to Gjensidige ∞ Starting autumn 2026

∞ Follow the same path as Teresa

Teresa started as a permanent employee at Loop Academy on a programme developed together with Gjensidige. After the training period with us, she moved on to an assignment at Gjensidige. Today she is permanently employed at Gjensidige. Now we are looking for new developers who want to take the same path.

Loop Academy and Gjensidige are offering you a career path together, with permanent employment at Loop Academy from day one. You start with three months of training in Oslo before moving on to a one-year assignment at Gjensidige. The goal is a permanent job at Gjensidige, with the security of a permanent position at Loop all the way, and salary from day one.

∞ About the assignment at Gjensidige

At Gjensidige you work with technology in one of Norway’s most established companies. Solutions here are used in core processes within pensions and claims settlement, and make a real difference for both customers and case handlers.

You join a modern development environment in new, central offices in Oslo. The work is about improving existing solutions, modernising functionality and building systems that make complex processes simpler and more efficient.

This is an environment where understanding both code and domain matters. Gjensidige uses Kotlin and React among other things, but the most important thing is that you are curious to learn how the team works with technology, architecture and business logic.

∞ Teresa on everyday life at Gjensidige

“What I like best about working at Gjensidige is the steep learning curve and the chance to work broadly, from frontend and backend to operations and testing. There is also a lot of freedom in the working day, and the office location is very central.”

– Teresa Pham, former Loop Academy consultant, now permanently employed at Gjensidige

Teresa also describes an environment where it is easy to ask questions, while you are expected to work independently and take responsibility. There is a lot to learn at the start, especially because pensions and claims settlement involve a lot of business logic, many technical terms and a domain most people don’t know beforehand.

∞ What do you learn first?

During three months at Loop Academy you get tailored training developed together with Gjensidige. The goal is to make you relevant for the environment you are joining, not to expect you to know everything in advance.

You build an understanding of how the team works with Kotlin, React and core architecture principles. You work on code comprehension, domain understanding and reading, understanding and improving existing solutions. At the same time you work on real team projects and good programming practice, so the transition to the assignment is as natural as possible.

∞ Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, computer engineering, software development or similar by autumn 2026.

You fit in well if you like understanding code, are curious about the domain you work in and are motivated by making the business more efficient. You get things done, thrive with responsibility and enjoy improving existing solutions. Personal projects alongside your studies are a big plus.

∞ Practical info

Start date is autumn 2026. You start with three months at Loop Academy in Oslo before moving on to a twelve-month assignment at Gjensidige. You are permanently employed by Loop Academy from day one, the position is full-time, and you are paid from day one. The goal is permanent employment at Gjensidige after the assignment, with the security of Loop along the way.

∞ Ready to follow the same path as Teresa?

At Gjensidige you don’t just write code. You build solutions that make the working day simpler, faster and more precise for people working with pensions and claims. Together with Loop Academy you get a career start where you learn fast, work close to reality and become part of an environment where code, domain and getting things done all matter.
