New graduate developer? Build your future in fullstack ∞

We are looking for outstanding recent graduates to start their careers with specialist training and attractive fullstack development assignments ∞

A strong academic foundation deserves a strong start to your career. At Loop, you get permanent employment from day one, three months of intensive, paid training in our specialist programme, followed by twelve months on a fullstack client assignment.

The goal is then permanent employment with the client.

Start date: 4 January 2027

Put your skills to work in real systems

You already know how to code. You have spent several years building a technical foundation and may have worked with backend, frontend, databases, APIs or larger university projects. Now you want more than just your first job: you want to build on what you know and use your skills in a professional development team.

There, your code needs to work alongside code written by others. You will need to understand existing systems, test changes, make technical judgements and build solutions that people actually use.

This is the transition Loop Academy is built for.

Specialisation tailored to your assignment

For the first three months, you work full-time at Loop Academy in Oslo. Learning and development are your job, with in-person training alongside the other developers at Loop Academy.

The programme is led by Dr. Dean von Schoultz, who holds a PhD in information technology, has more than eleven years of experience as a lecturer and has guided over 200 developers through the transition from academia to professional software development. Dean is there to guide you and help you progress. He builds on your existing skills and tailors the specialist programme to your assignment, preparing you for the technologies and challenges you will encounter at the client.

You gain practical experience with larger codebases, testing, architecture, debugging and code reviews. Along the way, you develop your ability to make sound technical judgements and collaborate on solutions in a development team.

The technologies you explore in depth depend on your assignment. These may include Java or .NET, or TypeScript and frameworks such as React and Angular. The goal is for you to start your assignment with relevant skills and a solid foundation for contributing to the team from the outset.

Together with the other developers, you share experiences, solve problems and learn from different perspectives. You get to know one another and build a professional and social community that makes the intensive learning period both rewarding and enjoyable.

From university to professional development teams

Through Loop, our developers have started their careers in technology teams at companies including Telenor, Storebrand, Gjensidige, DN Media Group, Bokbasen and Tradesolution. Even, Teresa and Frøy are three of them.

Even now works at Storebrand. When he applied, the high professional standard was already one of the things that made Loop appealing:

“There is something appealing about the fact that they only hire the cream of the crop and aim for a high standard.”

Teresa moved from an engineering degree into fullstack development at Gjensidige. She highlights the variety and understanding that come from working across the product:

“You can work with both frontend and backend, which provides plenty of variety and gives you a holistic understanding of the product.”

Frøy now works at Tradesolution. She has moved from university to working with larger web applications, databases, backend and frontend in a professional team.

They came from different academic backgrounds. At Loop, they built on their skills and applied them in professional software development. Several of our clients have since returned to take on more Loop developers.

Fullstack is more than a technology stack

Fullstack is about understanding how a software system fits together. You need a strong foundation that enables you to work on different parts of a solution and understand the connections between frontend, backend, APIs and databases.

Technologies vary between our clients. Some work extensively with Java, others with Kotlin, .NET, TypeScript or modern frontend frameworks.

That is why we are interested in a range of academic specialisations. What you have in common is the ability to code, strong analytical skills and a desire to understand the whole of what you are building.

Who are we looking for?

You are a recent or soon-to-be graduate with a relevant master's degree or a strong technical bachelor's background in computer science, computer engineering, software development, programming or a similar technical field, and you are ready to start on 4 January 2027.

You have strong academic results, code well and can get to grips with complex problems. You enjoy developing software and are curious about how good solutions are built and improved over time.

You learn quickly, work thoroughly and communicate well. You share knowledge and enjoy solving problems with others. Professional strength and the ability to contribute to a team are equally important aspects of the profile we are looking for.

We take on a small number of candidates and invest heavily in those we select.
