From a bachelor's at OsloMet to a permanent developer role at Gjensidige

Teresa Pham wanted to use technology to solve real problems. With a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from OsloMet, she had laid the foundation. Through her studies, she had explored programming, systems development and databases. She became especially interested in web development and cloud solutions.

How can good technical choices make everyday life easier for the people who use the solutions? She carried that question with her into the next chapter.

In 2025, Teresa started at Loop Academy. This is where the journey from completed education to a developer career at Gjensidige began. Teresa arrived with curiosity, technical knowledge and a desire to contribute.

She had worked with both frontend and backend. She was interested in how the pieces fit together – from the user interface to the data behind it. In her bachelor's thesis, she had also delved into software testing. That gave her an eye for quality, in addition to functionality.

After three months at Loop Academy, the path continued to an assignment at Gjensidige. There, she got the opportunity to put her skills to use in a new context. Her study projects came along in her toolkit. Now she would build further on them through experience from working life.

An assignment is also an opportunity to show more than what's on a CV. How you meet challenges. How you use what you know, and learn what you don't yet master.

For Teresa, the assignment year became the path to permanent employment. Today, she is a permanent developer at Gjensidige. Her interest in technology has become a career. And what started with a bachelor's degree at OsloMet continues with new problems to solve and new solutions to develop.
