A new career track - from graduate to C++ developer in systems that cannot fail

We have built a dedicated career track together with a leading player in global air traffic management. Four graduates start in August 2026 and step into a world where the software has to run continuously, in control towers and at airports across the world.

A new career track - from graduate to C++ developer in systems that cannot fail

Most career tracks are built generically, and then you hope the skills happen to fit once the candidate starts their assignment.

This one was built the other way around.

Designed together with the client

The programme was created in close collaboration with an established player in global air traffic management. From a large engineering environment in Asker, they build systems for surveillance, navigation and communication used in control towers and at airports worldwide.

Engineers from that environment were directly involved in shaping the learning period. The cases the candidates work on, the technologies they meet and the problems they solve all come from real systems.

That means nobody trains on generic examples.

Three months in Oslo, twelve months on assignment

Candidates begin with three months of on-site academy in Oslo, from August to November 2026. The programme combines lectures, hands-on programming and case work, with an emphasis on modern C++, systems thinking and development under strict requirements for correctness and traceability.

From November they move into a twelve-month assignment. The codebases there are large, technically mature and developed over many years.

Among the technologies they will meet are C++, Qt for operator interfaces, TCP, UDP and multicast, CMake and Linux, along with logging, traceability and performance in critical systems.

Who this is for

We are looking for candidates completing a bachelor or master's degree in IT, computer engineering, cybernetics, physics or similar by August 2026, who have been exposed to C or C++ during their studies.

You do not need to know all of it beforehand. The programme is built to take you there.

What matters most is curiosity, structured problem solving and a genuine relationship with quality.

Why we build programmes this way

A tailored programme makes the transition shorter and safer. By the time the candidate starts their assignment, they have already worked with the relevant technologies, understood the domain and learned how the systems are put together.

That lets them start contributing earlier, and with far more confidence.

Software that always has to work, built by developers who are prepared for exactly that.
